This photo shows one pair of the seats that will be refurbished and installed in the MiTrain passenger cars.
The MiTrain project team visited the Progress Rail site to evaluate the progress being made on the truck overhaul. An engineering firm accompanied them to the site to inspect and approve the trucks for safety. The trucks are the “wheels” of a rail car.
MiTrain will be ADA compliant, featuring platform lifts on each of the passenger cars.
