Welcome to the Michigan SEMCOG, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, has been designated by the State of Michigan to serve as the Single Point of Contact to coordinate the State Clearinghouse process. In Michigan, intergovernmental review is coordinated by the 14 regional councils and state departments. As the Single Point of Contact, SEMCOG notifies state departments and the 13 other regional planning councils about applications for federal assistance that are proposed for their jurisdictions. In Southeast Michigan, SEMCOG members will be notified of state and federal grant applications for projects in their jurisdiction to comment on the impact which the proposals could have on their plans, policies, and projects.
