Description 
This project will implement peak hour, peak direction commuter rail service between the City of Howell and the City of Ann Arbor. The initial rail service will be 26 miles in length one way (single track) initiating from Howell with stops at; Genoa Township/Brighton, Hamburg Township, Whitmore Lake/Eight Mile, Barton/Plymouth/North Ann Arbor. This project will provide a transportation alternative to travel on US-23. 

Status
The WALLY Coalition has been reorganized as an advisory group to Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA) and has formed three subcommittees that will focus on rail station development, operations and infrastructure, and marketing. AATA applied for $32 million in TIGER Grant funding for capital improvements and are awaiting award information in early 2010.
