About the SEMCOG Transportation Data Map

The map will become active once this window has been closed.

Introduction
The SEMCOG Transportation Data map provides a quick, interactive way to view the transportation data SEMCOG collects on the road system in Southeast Michigan.

How to access our data from the map
This map provides transportation data for three parts of the regional road system: road segments, intersections, and road improvement projects. TIP projects are short-range improvement projects (over the next three years). RTP projects are long-range projects to be completed before the year 2030.

To access data about a road segment, zoom into the map until you can view the road segment you are interested in. Then click on the road and a window will pop up notifying you if it is a major road (for which we have information) or a local road (for which we do not have information). If it is a major road, click the "More Info" button to view all the data we have about that road segment.

For intersections or road improvement projects, use the check boxes above the map to draw these features on the map.

Once they are drawn, simply click on a marker on the map and summary data will be displayed in the popup window. This summary will include a link to a data report containing more information about the feature.

Intersections can only be viewed if you are zoomed in, so if the layer can‘t be drawn at your current map scale, its checkbox will be disabled. Keep zooming in until the checkbox becomes enabled to draw the layer.

Whats new?
Everything! This interactive tool debuts on our newly redesigned Web site. In the future, this section will alert our users to newly added map features.
