Housing is an essential element of community development. It impacts residents and governments, property values, local revenues, public services, and community stability.
The Regional Housing Needs and Neighborhood Resiliency Strategy for Southeast Michigan provides a foundation for action to address the systemic housing challenges on a regional level. The strategy specifically provides 14 policy recommendations to be advocated at the state and federal levels and 24 implementation actions to be implemented both regionally and at the local level. It also includes the region's Fair Housing and Equity Assessment (FHEA).
