Population

Population crowd
SEMCOG produces estimates of population and households for every county and community in the seven-county SEMCOG region.  These estimates are provided biannually (mid-year and end-of-year) as well as in an annual report.

Annual Reports
Annual reports of population and household estimates in Southeast Michigan provide tables and discussion of changes in the region's population and household size, as well as a synopsis of the methodology used to produce the estimates.

Biannual Estimates
The biannual population and household estimates reflect current trends in Southeast Michigan's basic demographics.  Please note that SEMCOG makes occasional adjustments to the biannual estimates as new demographic data about the region becomes available and is incorporated into the estimation process.
