At SEMCOG’s Executive Committee meeting on April 30, there was a presentation on Southeast Michigan’s infrastructure, followed by discussion. We’d like to continue that discussion here.

For background, here is the presentation.

Here are some discussion starters. The challenges we face seem in opposition. We are asked to conserve, yet our bills are increasing because of the need to make needed capital improvements to infrastructure.

Are we doing a good job explaining the infrastructure challenges to Southeast Michigan residents?

How serious do you perceive the pressures on your constituents to pay for the full range of infrastructure through their gas taxes, water bills, and electric bills?
