SEMCOG invited the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) to discuss how communities can use specific tools to build or enhance their vibrancy through sustainable economic development policies. It is imperative that practitioners and community officials are aware of and can strategically implement the tools available.
MEDC staff spent the day describing the tools for building vibrant communities and helping local practitioners maximize their assets to create strong economies. They also described how different tools can be packaged together to create an even greater impact.
