SEMCOG's Executive Committee meets on September 28

The Executive Committee of SEMCOG meets at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2007, in SEMCOG's Buhl Building offices in downtown Detroit.

The Executive Committee will be asked to take action on the following:

  • recommend General Assembly adoption of the amendment of 13 projects to the 2030 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP);
  • approve bylaws amendment to provide for proportional allocations of votes for school bloc members;
  • approve designation of non-voting delegates to the Executive Committee; 
  • approve work program amendment concerning the Detroit to Ann Arbor rail study; and
  • support resolution encouraging federal action on ballast water and the spread of invasive species.

Kim Schatzel, Director of the Center for Innovation Research at the UM-Dearborn School of Management, will discuss the Entrepreneurial Cities Index study, an annual research study that examines the factors that influence entrepreneurship, economic development, and job growth.

In an effort to make SEMCOG information available as widely as possible, the Executive Committee agenda is available on SEMCOG's Web site. The public is invited to comment on any item on the agenda.
