Kathleen is SEMCOG’s Executive Director. She has decades of experience in both planning and administration. She has a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in Urban Planning from Wayne State University.

Right now, SEMCOG staff are busy collecting and analyzing data as we develop the 2045 Regional Transportation Plan for Southeast Michigan, the long-range plan. This plan sets priorities and allocates funding to the transportation system for the next few decades. Funds from federal, state, and local sources are used to operate, maintain, and improve the region’s transportation system.

A series of infographics illustrating key trends in our region is available on SEMCOG’s RTP page.

An update to this plan calls for a regional discussion about the future of our system and the role that investment can and should play in the long-term success of the region. Everyone who lives, works, and plays in our region is invited to attend a series of meetings, beginning today, to share their transportation priorities.
