Amy has been with SEMCOG for over 25 years. Much of that time has been spent working the member relations beat. More recently she has added another role, becoming Vice President of SEMCOG’s partner organization the Metropolitan Affairs Coalition (MAC). Amy has a Master's degree in Public Administration from Eastern Michigan.

This entry from Brownstown Township is one of many in our series of postcards featuring Southeast Michigan communities.

At the start of 2020, SEMCOG’s membership is at 174! Our new membership video reminds us how far we have come over the last 52 years in Southeast Michigan, and what exciting opportunities the future holds. We appreciate how members featured in this video describe the many benefits of being a SEMCOG member.

The video’s many testimonials stress what SEMCOG is all about – continuing to make Southeast Michigan a strong region. How will we continue this trend? By providing information and resources to our valued member communities – planning expertise, data, mapping, funding assistance, and training opportunities.

Current SEMCOG Chair, Don Hubler commented that his “involvement with SEMCOG is based on the sharing of information. That information is the starting point to be more efficient, to be more effective, to look to the future, and plan for the future.” SEMCOG definitely shares this sentiment.

Thank you members! We’ve always valued your partnership in making Southeast Michigan a great place. And we’re excited about the future.

Take a tour of some of SEMCOG’s member communities in our postcard series, and submit a photo of your community to have it added to the collection!
