Southeast Michigan’s Congressional offices have started releasing information on how communities can submit projects for FY 2024 Congressionally Directed Spending requests. Important to note: While some offices have not yet released details, others have very early deadlines.

If you’re interested in submitting a project on behalf of your community, you can find office-by-office application and deadline information on SEMCOG’s Legislation Webpage. This page will be updated as additional information is released by Southeast Michigan’s Congressional Offices.

SEMCOG is eager to support your community’s projects!
As member communities begin developing project requests for FY 2024, SEMCOG is available to support your requests with a letter, data, and/or technical expertise. Wherever possible, connecting your projects to SEMCOG’s regional plans and initiatives will be beneficial to helping secure funding. Our staff can help make these connections in your application materials, as well as letters of support. SEMCOG encourages members to use our online form to request a letter of support.

Awarded FY 2023 Community Projects
Last year, we were happy to support more than 60 projects from the region, many of which were funded as part of the FY 2023 appropriations process. These investments total more than $173 million in new funding to 109 projects to address critical needs across the region. These include road and nonmotorized infrastructure investment, water and sewer improvements, health and education, and much more.
