Amy O’Leary has been employed at SEMCOG since 1994. She became Deputy Executive Director in 2017 and Executive Director in 2020. She is a Certified Association Executive. She holds leadership positions at Six Rivers Regional Land Conservancy, the Detroit Area Agency on Aging, and the Executive Directors Council of the National Association of Regions.

Often, as I visit local community offices around Southeast Michigan, I’m greeted with a familiar sight of our water quality campaign on display. The Our Water. Our Future. Ours to Protect. messages have been used throughout the region and the country to let the public know of actions they can take to protect our rivers and lakes.
After 10 years, it was time for a facelift!

What better timing than National Water Week than to announce the premier of our new water quality tip cards!

Polluted stormwater runoff is a significant source of pollution to our lakes, streams, and beaches. Implementing actions at home can help protect our valuable water resources!
